Privacy notice

We collect account details such as name, email address, phone number, town and sign-in information. We also collect requests, offers, messages, photos, videos, fee-status information and basic technical information needed to run the site securely.

We may process uploaded media and messages to detect attempts to share contact details before the introduction fee is confirmed.

We use information to create accounts, show requests and offers, operate messaging, enforce the contact-detail rules, confirm introduction fees, prevent fraud and abuse, keep the site secure, answer support requests and comply with legal duties.

When an introduction fee is confirmed, the buyer's and seller's contact details are shown to each other so they can arrange the sale directly.

We process personal information where it is needed to provide the service, where we have a legitimate interest in keeping the marketplace safe and preventing fee avoidance, where we must meet a legal obligation, or where you have given consent such as optional cookies.

We do not sell personal information. We share information with the other party to an accepted deal only after the fee is confirmed. We also use trusted service providers for hosting, authentication, storage, security checks and email delivery where needed to run LoveToPay.

We keep account, request, offer, message and deal records for as long as needed to provide the service, handle disputes, prevent abuse and meet legal or accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your account, but some records may need to be retained where legally required or where they relate to another user's transaction.

UK users can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of their personal information, and can object to some processing. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with how your information is handled.

LoveToPay is not intended for children under 18. Users must not create an account if they are under 18.
